FAQ

These are the questions we are asked most. Where an answer involves rules, it says which classic or which school it comes from; where we cannot do something, it says so directly.

How is the chart calculated, and is it accurate?

The chart is not guessed, it is computed by rules: the lunar birth data fixes the five-element bureau and the position of the Zi Wei star, then the star-placement rules of the Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu lay out the twelve palaces and the stars, and the four transformations follow the fixed table for the ten heavenly stems. These rules are deterministic — the same birth data cast a hundred times gives the same chart. Whether it is “accurate” is another matter: a chart describes tendencies of character and the structure of relationships; it does not predict specific events. We do not promise that it can tell you whether a particular thing will happen.

I cannot remember my birth time. Can I still cast a chart?

You can, but read it with a discount. The birth hour decides the positions of the twelve palaces: being one hour off rotates the whole chart by one step — the relative relationships among stars stay the same, but every palace changes. If you only know an approximate range, convert to true solar time first and then cast; the tool is at /tools/solar-time/. We do not do “reverse-engineer the birth hour from past events” — that method cannot be falsified, which amounts to giving an answer at random.

Are my birth information and questions sent to a server, or visible to others?

Chart casting is completed in your own browser. Only when you actively click “generate report” are the structured results (four pillars, five-element bureau, stars in the twelve palaces, four transformations, decade and annual cycles) sent to the server; your name, the original birth date, your birth place and the original text of your question are not sent. Saving a chart is optional; once saved it is stored encrypted and you can delete it at any time on the account page. We do not sell your information to any third party. One exception is the “contact us” form on this site: the name, mobile number and question you enter there are stored on our server, and used only to reply to you.

How long does a report take? What if it never appears?

Normally it finishes in tens of seconds; from casting the chart to receiving the report is usually under three minutes. One generation is about two thousand characters in seven sections. If the page does not change for more than two minutes, refresh first; if it still does not appear, tell us your order number via /contact/ or by email, and we will resend it manually or refund in full. Two consecutive generation failures are refunded directly, without you having to apply.

What is the difference between the free chart and the ¥19.90 report?

The free part is the chart itself: the twelve palaces, major and minor stars, the four transformations, decade and annual cycles — all visible. The ¥19.90 buys “reading the chart into plain language” — a seven-section structured reading, each section ending with a “Basis:” line stating which star was used, which palace it falls in, and how the four transformations run. You do not need to trust the author; you can check the basis against the chart yourself. Standard price ¥19.90; first order for new users ¥9.90 (once per account, not combinable with other offers, not refundable).

How is this different from just asking a large model (DeepSeek, Doubao, ChatGPT)?

Three differences. First, large models cannot compute a chart: casting is several hundred hard rules, while a model guesses by language habit — ask it three times about the same birth data and you may get three different answers; you can try it yourself. Second, a model cannot keep to one school: there are two readings of the four transformations for the geng stem, different ways to handle leap months, and different rules for which day the late zi hour belongs to; a model mixes them. Third, every section of ours marks its source basis, so if something is wrong you can point it out; a model cannot give a basis. The cost is that we only do readings — we do not chat, and we do not promise to understand you better than a model does.

What does the “Basis:” line at the end of each section mean?

It is the derivation source for that section's conclusion, written in the form “palace stem + star + where the transformation lands”, for example “Decade wuyin (property palace): Tan Lang with transformation of wealth falls in the life palace”. You can take that line and check it against the chart to see whether the star it names really is in that position. If it does not match, we wrote something wrong — tell us and we will fix it.

Can I get a refund? How is it calculated?

Yes. Refundable amount = amount actually paid − number of credits used × the per-report price at the time of purchase; the per-report price follows the price list in effect when you bought (see /pay/). Multi-person packs are converted at the unit price. Delivery failure twice is refunded in full. The ¥9.90 first order for new customers is not refundable (standard price ¥19.90 per report); this is stated before payment. Refund requests go through /contact/ or email, and are processed in 1–3 business days.

I paid but the report is still locked. What should I do?

First, do not pay again. Send your order number (in the order list on the account page) to us via /contact/ or by email; we will check the payment record and unlock it manually. This is usually a delayed payment callback — the money is not lost. If you paid twice, we return the extra payment by the original route.

Can you change my fate, resolve bad luck or bring me fortune?

We do not, and we do not recommend that you ask anyone to. What we provide is the organisation of traditional-culture material and tools; we provide no fate-changing, consecration, resolution or wealth-attracting service, and we sell no talismans, no courses and take no disciples. Anyone who promises that “money can change your fate”, whatever form it is packaged in, deserves suspicion.

Is the report written by AI? What if it is wrong?

Yes. The data is computed by a rule engine in the browser, and the text is organised from that data by a large model. So: the chart data is deterministic and can be checked; the wording may deviate, which is why we require a basis line in every section for you to verify. AI generation is marked at the top of the report and in exported files. If you find content that does not match the chart, send us that section and its basis line; after verification we correct it and record it in the errata.

How do I contact you, and how soon will you reply?

Two ways: the /contact/ form on this site (leave your mobile number and question; we call or text back), or email lab@fullbyte.cn directly. We usually reply within 1 business day. For refunds, payment problems and content corrections, email is preferred so that there is a record.
